Default get displayed name of the <select> tag

Hi,

Consider the example:

<option>
  <select value="1"/>Jan
  <select value="2"/>Feb
  <select value="3"/>Mar
</option>

My Qs is how can i get the displayed names ie Jan Feb etc in javascript. I want Jan,Feb.... & not 1,2,3...

Pls help

I think the property you are looking for is "text".
