Hi, I've got a webpage I'm working on where I decided to use an absolutely aligned div layer, and it worked great laying text over top of graphics. My problem is now, I want to center the graphics on the page, regardless of screen resolution -- so the table graphics I'm positioning over changes based on screen size, which means my absolutely aligned stuff doesn't work.

I tried making the graphics div1 and then positioning the text in div2 relatively, but I had to use crazy top and left values (style="position:absolute; left:180px; top:-580px;") to get it in the right place. This worked perfectly except that the page would always be over 580 pixels too long at the bottom, like the div was making it really long somehow, and I'm assuming it had to do with the weird top value.

Anyway, I'm looking for a solution to this -- ideally I think positioning the div relatively should work, just behaving a little strangly. If you have an idea that might help, please let me know.

Maybe this will be of some help. If you look at the source HTML you can see some of the client events, object properties and math used to position things.

Thanks Peter, that might be a little beyond me at that point. I'll give it a shot though, see if I can figure out how to apply that to my page. Here is the link to it: http://seismic.ath.cx/ depending on the time of day (night) if might be unavailable. Anyway, all the graphics are layed out with tables, and the text is an absolutely positioned div... you'll understand right away that I'm in a bit of trouble if I center the table-aligned graphics to the page width -- the text won't move with the graphics.

Again, I'll check out the link but having taken a look at my page can you think of another solution not involving the complex math?

Firstly, I hava a problem with div which was not displaying over the Drop Down List. But I solved that problem by using 'iframe'.

Now the problem I am facing is Div or menu in not displaying over the Crystal Reports. Div is displayed behind the reports.

How to solve this problem.

It is hard to position table.It will cause a lot of cross browser issue. Try your code t different browser. Then you could find whether the problem is with your code or with the browser.
