Default calling webservices from Javascript..

Hello,

I am new to webservices and I need to know How to call a
webservice (JAX-RPC model) from Javascript...

would anyone help me to find the answer ?

As far As I know it is allowed to access ActiveX using the JavaScript
(If IE is configured). Right ? Probably it makes a sense to create
some ActiveX in order to access WebService and use it from JS.
