Default how to execute Java program from Linux platform?
Hi everyone,
     I m a learning Java programming from Ivor Horton's book.
I m not very much familiar with Linux. I just want to know the procedures to execute Java programs from Linux.Can anyone help me for this?
     Recently I have downloaded the JDK1.5.0 for Linux platform but not being able to install it.Double clicking on the icon is not working.I dont know whether it is the problem with my machine or something else.Plz help me for this if anybody can.
