Hi all,

i am trying to produce a form to allow people to buy products, which should include:

    * the user should be able to select how many of the item needed
    * automatically provide the total price of the bill
    * The background colour of the page should change according to the total price of the bill.
    * When the 'place order' button is clicked, the user should get a message with the summary of the order

Any help or advice would be much appreciated as i do not know were to start.

you want all this in which technology i mean to ask is it Web, AWT, Swing, Applet etc... what do you want?

this is possible, you just have to write a code on the events depend on the technology you are using.
