Default I need help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pls!!!!!!!

First off, if your reading this...

Ok, so i started java so i could write applets and things like that. I was siked out when i found a java book at the book store...even though i was looking for an HTML book. I was fully dedicated except... I was using and SDK 1.4 book. I'm 500 pages into the book now, and i was browsing the selection here cause i got a book store gift card for my birthday. I see a pro-java book. I start reading the Who this book is for section and it says the book builds upon Ivor Horton's JDK 1.5. I read more and i find out that jdk 1.5 is 35% better than jdk 1.4! I can always get a jdk 1.5 book, but i don't want to start all over!

So basically i just want to know...Is there much difference, in the code, between jdk 1.4 and 1.5?

Please help...
I'm in some major muck...

JDK 1.5 should be jdk5.0 :). There ia much difference between jdk 1.4 and 5.0 . I think you should study 5.0.

I'd say that you'd be fine to learn 1.4 - I still use the books about 1.2 quite regularly. There's a more detailed answer to your question here:
