Hi Indrajeet,
   I hope this will be useful for u.

if(s.indexOf('@')!=1)
{
  if(s.indexOf('.')!=1)
  {
    //In this u can check at whoch place '.' needed.
    //Code,If correct.
  }
}

The method that u showed is the brute force way to do it . The most suitable thing to do is the use of the "Regex" package in java. Then u could go ahead and use regular expressions . If u want i could give u some samples for the same .
