gridbaglayout line separators

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if someone could please point me in the right direction...
I'm trying to separate parts of my gridbaglayout with horizontal lines, but it seems to be a lot more difficult than I anticipated. I read about JSeparator, as well as the Graphics drawline method... but nothing seems to work.
