Default setup asp.net

hi all

i've gt the .net framework 1.1 installed on my winxp pro system, but i get a 'server error in '/' application' error when i try to preview a simple aspx page done in dreamweaver mx

how do i get my system all setup for developing aspx???

If you follow the instructions it usually works, at what stage did you install IIS?

hmm...after i install winxp pro..i went to install iis...dats like a few mths ago..
juz got e .net framework 1.1 abt few days ago

oh, and when i look into the 'add/remove programs' i have both the .net framework and .net framework 1.1,cause i also installed vs.net before, will it cause any conflicts?

and since i use dreamweaver mx, i dont tink i need to set my directory as an application or stuff like that in my iis, do i?

i hope its just some silly things i did or left out and not something serious, anyone any help?? thnks in advance
