How to forbidden IE refresh button?

Any one knows how to forbidden IE6's refresh button with Javascript?

This topic has been discussed many times before, on multiple forums including this one.

The general conclusion is that no, you cannot keep a user from refreshing the page.

You can hide the button by opening a new window, but they can right-click and refresh, or hit F5 and refresh.

you can do it if they accept a registry change, is that not correct snib? but who would?

Sorry for the late reply, been away several days.

I don't know if there's a way, even with the user accepting a registry change. I would look at MSDN and Google to find out.

I agree with you, under most circumstances. Sometimes a network of computers will have all their IEs set up to accept this kind of change, though.
