Default close the current window

hello Once More

the question iz that ... How 2 close the current window ... i mean ... in my web page ... i want 2 put a button with a label CLOSE THE WINDOW ... and that button should call a function to close that window ... now i dont know whether there iz pre-defined function 2 close the current window or v have to create our own function ... now plzzz some body solve my problem ... plzzzzzzz

        You can use the following script to close the current window:

<INPUT type="button" value="CLOSE THE WINDOW"
onclick = "javascript:window.close();">
