Default indexOf

var adultSeat = document.form.adultSeat.value;
var el_id = "21A"
adultSeat = "21A~16G"
is there a way that i can check adultSeat to find out if it contains the contents of el_id ????

if (adultSeat.indexOf(el_id) >= 0) {
  adultSeat contains the contents of el_id
else {
  adultSeat doesn't contain the contents of el_id
