Default how to build a JavaScript for loop decrement (--)

Code:
var AgencyDetails = document.getElementById("demodiv_t_AgencyDetails");

AgencyDetails.deleteRow(4);
AgencyDetails.deleteRow(3);
AgencyDetails.deleteRow(2);
AgencyDetails.deleteRow(1);
I have this code above inside a JavaScrip function, i am looking to run this code everytime. But is there a way i can have a decrement (--) for loop to delete the rows instead or writing out AgencyDetails.deleteRow(4); everytime?

I have tried i-- in my for loop statement, but it doesnt work??

Am i missing something?

i-- should be fine, are the condition and initial value correct for your loop? The following works for me:
Code:
<script language="javascript">
for(var i = 4; i > 0; i--){
    document.write(i);
}
</script>

yeah, thanks again chris.

Code:
/*
FUNCTION NAME: delete_agency_details
Delete all rows in the 'Agency Details' sub-table -
except the heading row
*/
function delete_agency_details()
{
    var AgencyDetails = document.getElementById("demodiv_t_AgencyDetails");

    for(var i=5; i>0; i--)
    {
        AgencyDetails.deleteRow(i);
    }
}
the above code worked a treat
