Default FREE JavaScript debugger

Does anyone know of a FREE JavaScript debugger? I dont want to use the Microsoft 'JustInTime' debugger as it just crashes my MSIE when i am testing.

Is there any free debuggers that will allow you to debug, show you the line that is causing the error but NOT crash MSIE??

TIA.

Check out Mozilla Firefox or Netscape with the Venkman Debugger, its probably the best around.

along the same lines, does anyone have or know of a piece of software that will scan a JavaScript file to check for redundant or unused variables/functions? I have a large js file and this is proving to be very time consuming trying to cut out as much as possible to speed up processing.
