apart from alert() function, is there any way 2 create a custom alert message with our own text and buttons, for example

Create a div with the required UI. You can then show/hide via style.visibility. Alternatively, in IE only, you can use createPopup().

Please don't post the same question across forums, it's very annoying when one spends time answering a question only to find an identical answer has already been given.
