showModalDialog Problem

Hi All

1.My problem is whenever I open a window using showModalDialog the main window should be redirected to a particular page.

2. I opened a file "a.aspx" via showModalDialog. on different button events I want to refresh the main window.

both problems are almost similar. Please help me out.
