I would point mostly to the pointlessness of it. Anyone who you would really care about hiding your JavaScript from, is going to be saavy enough to do a couple of Google searches and undo your obfuscation. And with all the javascript libraries out there on the Wrox CDs, script.aculo.us, and elsewhere, who do you think is seriously going to hit your site and actually bother to download your javascripts anyway? It's like putting a dead bolt on your bathroom door. Yes it will keep people from it, but is it really worth the trouble?
