Default Tables in Joomla

Yes, the short answer is that you can indeed create tables in a Joomla site. Normally you would use simple "content items" where you can enter HTML code if you wish to create a table.

One of the most attractive features of Joomla is that you can also download additional components from third-party developers. Some are free and some you have to pay for. If you look on the main Joomla website, you will find the "Extensions Directory" that contains an enormous number of these. If you search there for "tables", you will find a good selection of components that are designed to create specific types of tables for various purposes. You should be able to find whatever it is that you have in mind to do.

Default Re: test site on local server

Hi maxwelljohny,

Happy to help but need a bit more information first. I'm a bit surprised that you're talking about version 1.5.25 if we're talking about Joomla. The latest version is 3.8.10 and, unless you have a particular reason for using something earlier, I would always opt for that.

Secondly, can you give a bit more info about your setup for a local server? It would be useful to know:
  • operating system
  • web server software
  • php version
  • database software

Regards, Lochman
