Default book examples not on code download page
nor are they at apress.com. can somebody zip them for me and email them? let me know and I will provide email addy.

Where did you look at Apress.com? The book *is* there. Just follow the Download link on the middle of the homepage.

It is NOT there. Going to the page you suggested, it is NOT in the giant select menu.

What book exactly are you looking for? "Beginning JSP 2.0", "Beginning JSP Web Development" or yet another book? Do you have the ISBN?
