Default Can Sherlock be integrated with Java?

Someone told me that it is possible to integrate a Java page with the Apple Sherlock Search plugin. The plugin files are in .src format and it has a structure similar to an XML file.

Is it possible to integrate Sherlock with a JSP page? I mean, the page file will have to be able to read the important fields / attributes of the plugin.

Any sample code will help a lot. Thanks in advance.
