Default linux event

I want to take the Shutdown , Logout , Switch User and Hibernate Event in Linux(Fedora) using Java , using this i want to send a message from one computer to another when any one of the previous event is pressed and this event will occure after sending the message to another computer can u please help me how can i pick up these event and any information to do that .
Please reply for this quickly
