Default Having trouble using HttpClient with JSP in XAMPP

Hi all,

I'm somewhat new to Java and want to fetch an external XML data stream from a web service using JSP. I'm quite proficient in PHP, Perl, and other languages, but not so much with Java.

I've read that HttpClient is the best way to do this, but I'm running into a lot of trouble using my XAMPP setup in Windows XP Pro SP3. Here's the tutorial I'm trying to follow:

http://hc.apache.org/httpclient-3.x/tutorial.html

What's the best way to proceed and make a JSP of this? My end goal is to use XSLT to transform the XML for displaying as a webpage. The XSLT file is all set to go and now I'm just trying to figure out this Java thing. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
- Matt
