Can anyone tell me where to find a mail server with free pop access and free forwarding ?

your ISP has given you an email account? Then you have access to their POP and SMTP servers.

Mind that that SMTP server will likely reject your request to send mail using it unless you're trying from your ISPs network, this is done to prevent the server from being abused by spammers.
If you're working at a company, they likely have SMTP and POP servers set up as well on the internal network or their internet domain that you can use.
