A big warning - I'm normally a debian user, but my guess would be:
- get an rpm of xine for the right version of red hat
- do rpm -ivh [name of rpm] at the command line, as root - this installs the program
should you later wish to remove it do rpm -e [name of rpm], again at the command line, as root.
