Default Firefox

I'm trying to install Firefox on RedHat 9. I unzipped the file alright and it created a directory called firefox-installer. The directions on the mozilla site say to type ./firefox-installer in the terminal window when in the firefox-installer directory to install. Even after su, I get the following error message:

./firefox-installer-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.

What am I doing wrong? What do I need to do?
