skarmoo,

I have been able to succesfully make my Ximian Evolution interoperate with my company's Exchange org ( urm...if anybody from my company is reading this, I mean my *last* company, I'd never *dream* of installing an unauthorized clinet 8p ). I just used IMAP for incomming mail and SMTP for outgoing mail -- no connector involved. If you are running Active Directory ( a requirement for E2k) you can configure your Ximian Contacts to use LDAP -- just point it at any Domain Controller as the LDAP server and you should be good.

Regards,
Meredith Shaebanyan
