Default Permission denied on su

I wrote a script and save this in the folder /usr/local/testing and name the file as "testscript" for a user tester.

Now when I am trying to execute the script by issuing the command:

su tester -c /usr/local/testing/testscript

,I am getting error:
root/.bashrc : Permission Denied

Help kindly appreciated.

check the permissions on /root/.bashrc ... make sure root has permission to read it. ( that is, do an ls -k, and make sure you have the 'r' bit set for user. Might also want to make sure that /root has the 'x' bit set of user, and that root is the owner.
