Default how to handle same session on multiple server

Hello,

if one is hosting same site on multipe server now i have to maintain same session on these server because of high traffic the second request for the same client can go to second server which is hosting the same site...Can this can mbe managed by php if yes,then how .
Any pointers or guidance in this regard would be gr8 help to me
