mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed
error: 'Access denied for user: '[email protected]' (Using password: YES)'

Ok to explain how I am setup etc...
Windows 2003 Standard Edition
IIS 6.0
MySQL Release: mysql-3.23.38

It is on my own webserver and I am the owner full controller.

I went through the instructions to reset root on mysql site and I still get the error above. The DBMS is running I checked the process and I see it runs. I know the service runs at start up without errors. I can't do much of anything at the prompt without the error above appearing. Can anyone assist. If you need further info let me know I can provide it. Thanks in advanced...

Nevermind I figured it out right after posting... Amazing... It ending up being I can't use locahost to connect I have to use another name I setup for it. It works great now... Thanks
