Default TAX / VAT Calucating DB

I am calculating this variable below to get the V.A.T (Value Added Tax) for Great Britain - which is 17.5%

Code:
Code:
vat = (cint(the_agency_markup)/47)*7
Dividing by 47 then multiplying by 7 gives you 17.5%.

Does anyone know of a DB that will hold the caluclation values for other countries, ie. germany..

Dear crmpicco,

Boy your parents must have hated you to give you a name like that! Anyway, I think you have a major problem with your calculation since 7/47 actually equals 0.149 and not 17.5%!!! According to my faithful hp 11C calculator.

Regards

Jeremy

order of operations shouldn't matter... (X*7)/47 = (X/47)*7 ..... What exactly is it you are looking for? Do you just want the currency symbols? Ellaborate.

in other words the values to calculate Tax for Great Britain is take the value MULTIPLY by 7 then divide by 47. e.g. (x*7)/47. I am looking for a database that has the two values i.e. '7' and '47' matched up against the Country Great Britain and two values matched up against, say, Germany. Is this possible?
