Default Runtime errors

Hi all. I have an issue that I can not seem to track down. I have written a program n VB2003, and built both the project and the solution for deployment. I selected "Release" as the type. Setup installs my program just fine. When I run it on the machine I used to write the code, everything runs as expected. This is a WinXP Home SP2 machine. Setup also installs the program on two target machines. One is Win2000 and the other is WinXP Pro - both with the latest versions. The install seems to go fine. When I try to run the program I get an error message and the program will not start. The program will also not debug so I only have the info from the OS to help me. There is a Process ID error and a Thread ID error listed. The exact hex code changes between run attempts.

Has anyone ever heard of this? More importantly, what can I do to troubleshoot the problems?

Thank you for your time.

-Jeff

Hey Folks.

I fixed the issue. The program relies on text files to store path locations. I was using a different name of the folders for the release version. For example on my test system I was using ThisFolderName but had changed it to This Folder Name in the release version.

Yes, I do feel really stupid.

If you are having the same problems make sure the folder locations are correct.

Thanks,

Jeff
