i am new to programing. now im doing one website using vs2005. i want to do a page authontication in my pages. But i saw there already have a loging controll and it can manage page and roles.
          But i dont use this control and im doing normmal way to do loging .
So i dont no how i do this page authontication.
anybody can help to me anyway.
im getting dataset from database and checking is there data is ok and log to my home page. so i read artical in problem solution and design login part in wrox book. but i dont have a good idea to do it.

Well, you can work with a lot of authentication options in .NET like windows, forms etc. In general Forms authentication is used, which you can check by visiting the link below:
