about MCP Examination

I am thinking for MCP certification in VC#.NET.
But, I can't understand how to start preparation.
So, Let me know how to start study and best study materials for MCP.

No tests are availible for .NET 2.0 yet... Which is the forum your posting in- so I assume that's what your question is about.

Hey,
I have a question to add... if you take your MCAD/MCSD tests now, do you think they will make you retake them when .NET 2.0 comes out, as an upgrade?

I kind of doubt it but if you do you will probably have to take one test for 2.0 for the 'upgrade'. Just a guess.

In the past I don't think they have ever invalidated old certifications.

Hey,
I believe they did when going from VB6 to VB.NET... I have a friend that has certification and had to take the tests again for .NET. But I don't know whether that happened for VB5 to VB6, and will happen later.

I think that "retiring" the Visual Studio 6 era exams and certs was part of their original plan when the .NET exams were first announced. But, I think sometime in the last couple of years they got enough feedback to reverse direction on that and keep the VS6 certs active, although they just recently stopped letting anyone new take the old exams. "Note: As denoted in the tables below, Microsoft Visual Studio® 6.0âbased exams are scheduled for discontinuation on June 30, 2004, after which the MCSD on Visual Studio 6.0 track will no longer be available. Anyone who earned the MCSD certification before June 30, 2004, will remain certified."
