Default Why use Form Authentications if Session is there?

Hii all Genious,
I have some Confussion that what is the need of Form Based Authentication if we have Session Object.
Actually what is the Difference? I m a bit Confussed.

Hi there,

One difference is that Forms Authentication will also work between browser sessions. The "Remember Me" option sets a cookie that allows you to stay logged in, even when you have closed your browser.
