Default using .net framework 2.0 with vb.net 2005

I have vb.net 2005 (the express version that is downloaded free). I want to use the .net framework 2.0 for System.IO where i replace a string with a new string. I am not sure how to use the .net framework 2.0 Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

First you need to install the development environment which will also install the 2.0 framework if you don't have it already. Then you need to create some kind of application project in the development environment, then you need to write some code in the application to do what you want.
