Blobs are kinda hard to work with.... I'm using MatLab and Oracle. My problem is MatLab doesn't offer the functionality to hand in BLOB's. So we did find a website that offers BLOB functionality in MatLab... it's: http://energy.51.net/dbtool/index.htm

But then I also found a site using a Perl script that would allow to Insert or retrieve a BLOB from an Oracle database. That site is: http://www.orafaq.com/scripts/perl/blob.txt

Let me know if there's anything else you need. (Or if this even solved your problem).

Take care, Coby
