system error 1157

Hi All!

when i try to configure a data source for oracle ODBC driver from the ODBC administrator i get an error
"The setup routines for oracle ODBC driver odbc driver could not be loaded due to system error 1157 "
this is the exact error message that i am getting
can some one tell me what exactly it means and how i can solve this

Have you installed the Oracle client software on the PC.

yes i have oracle 8 installed on my system(the OS is win 98)

even i am getting the same problem.
if u are from SNIST u might be knowing shravya of CSE 4/4. she told me that ur currently working on JDBC using oracle8i. can u tell me how cud u do that?

if ur not from SNIST then also please tell me how cud u rectify that problem(if u were able to rectify it)
