How to set Not Null constraint to Null Columns

Hi,
I want information about the Not Null Constraint. Initially lot of records avialable in Database. Now we can change the Null column in to not null column.

Plz reply me. if any one know anwser.

hi..,

try this out.
---
alter table empl
add constraint pk_empl_empno primary key(empno) novalidate
---

NOVALIDATE will not validate the existing records but will do for the upcoming records.
