Default Editing a Field in SQLPLUS

Hi,

I am new to SqlPlus. Just want to know what is the best way to edit the fields of a table. I want to be able to specify a specific field, ideally by row and column, and then change the text...And need to do this over and over..

Thanks,
*Jessie
