Default Using PHP to connect to Oracle

   I have oralce 8.0 installed on Linux RedHat 9.0, I am trying to use PHP 4.2.2 to connect to Oracle by using ODBC. However, I have one problem, when I try to use odbc_connect I need to provide the DSN (Data Source Name) which I don't know and the SysAdmin does not know either. My question is how can I figure it out? Even though the ODBC package is installed with PHP. Can anyone help me with..I appreicate it

Hi dude!
I'm assuming you set this up on your own system?
How do you normally log in to Oracle using sql+?
If you have installed at home, follow from start menu..
     Oracle-OraHome(whatever version)->
              Configuration and Migration tools ->
                   Administration Assistant
Once opened, the left-hand pane will show Oracle managed objects
 Expand this and Computers and then the icon with your computer name.
Expand Databases and this will show the database name / names you have available

This / these are your DSN names...

Failing that....
Try logging in using a blank string for DSN, sometimes works :)
