Wrox Programmer Forums
Other Programming Languages If you have a coding issue to discuss about another language that really isn't provided for in any other forum here (not ASP.NET C#, C++, VB, PHP, JavaScript, Python, Java, Perl, Applescript, XML or any of the other forum topics we have), post it here. Enough discussion on a language we don't have covered could prompt a new forum.

Default Good program for GUI

I have a lot of experience programing in FORTRAN, I use it for lots of calculations due to my job (Aerodynamics Engineer). My gripe about FORTRAN is that it is not visually appealing. I would like to learn a new program that I can create nice GUI's, but the program must be efficient at performing calculations, or if possible a program that I could somehow link to my FORTRAN programs that could perform the GUI tasks and allow FORTRAN to do all the calculations. If you can give my any information that would be great.

AFAIK most folks use another language for the gui and call their fortran programs from that. There are a few toolkits available, though, eg. http://www.winteracter.com/
