Default Forum admin.php

Ive been looking at the forum from the PHP&MYSQL book and it seems everyone can access admin.php (just type into the browser) and it allows unregistered users to change settings.

Is there anyway I can stop this so only admins are able to view/edit any settings within the admin.php

Thanks.
