the file should be saved in php format, copy the below tag to notepad, save it as test.php, and this should work:

<?php
echo "<h1>I'm a lumberjack.</h1>";
echo "<h2>And I'm Okay.";
?>

Not only will the file need to be saved with a php extention, you also need to ensure that you run it through a PHP enabled WebServer. Just viewing the file through IE will bot process the PHP.

Yell if you need more direction on this,

Mike
