How can I download files from Live Server

Hi All,

How shall I download files from Live server e.g. http://www.mydomain.com/textfiles to my local pc for further processing of server data ?

I don't want to use any FTP package like CuteFTP, this should be done with PHP Script which will run by Cron Job/Schedular.

Is anybody have a readymade script then please guide me.
