Default ming & php

I'm trying to make a Flash navigation menu (using ming) in which the buttons font color changes when the mouse hovers over it. I can make it to where the background changes color but that's isn't what I want. Is this even possible?

I'm looking to make something like this one I made in Macromedia Flash: http://www.amplifiedheat.com/beta/menu.swf

Thanks.
