Can anyone suggest a good way to send an email in VB without using MS Outlook or Outlook express?
I have found a smaple which uses Outlook but it is not a good solution (for example what if the user did not have Outlook?).
Thanks in advance
You may add a reference to CDO (collaborative data object) and it will allow you to create instances of messages and their properties.
Even though it frees you from using Outlook, you still have to use SMTP on the server. :)
