Dear all,

A couple of months back a member, RajaniKrishna, initiated a discussion about generation and printing of barcode in VB. The solution provided involved some barcode fonts including the "code39" font and "code128" font. Well, I've used these fonts and they look quite pretty when printed :-). But a barcode reader won't read them! Heck, what a barcode is good for if it's unreadable by a barcode reader device.

Plz guide me if I'm making some mistake or if these fonts are not intended to be readable by a barcode reader device in the first place.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

some barcode readers needs to put an * in front and at the end to read them.. try it...

Ex: *123*

Maybe the printed barcodes are in high resolution while your barcode print only support those in low resolution.
