Default cant add Reference to a visual basic project

Dear All,

At my machine having Windows XP professional In my application, i was working with microsoft Visual basic 6.0
and crystal reports. now i was making experiments with select expert button(That appears at crystal report viewer control) of crystal reports at run time. at run time famous messaeg appeared that
An unknown error has occured in Microsoft Visual basic and i should send report to Microsoft about this. I choosed not to send report
bcoz i was not online . This action closed Microsoft Visual basic(I lost all work that wasn't saved). now when i have opened Visual basic
again. everything is fine. but when i tried to open "REFERENCeS" Dialog box to add libraries in my appilcation it shows me message box like
"Error Accessing System registry" and doesn't show references dialog box.

Now i tried to get help from MSDN. it says that whether my registry has been curropted or i have reinstall the Host application.

I tried to open registry of my windows. It opened normaly.

So i tried second option is to unistall and reinstall Microsoft Visual basic but it gives me same error while accessing Refrences boxes.
so that i cant view added libraries in my project or add more libraries in my project.

If any one has faced situation like this and found some solution. kindly suggest me

one thing that i wanna add is that i thought to restore my XP professional(Using System Restore option in System Tools)... so that it will
automatically roll back corruptions in registry(if something bad has happened)... but unfortunately there are no restore points are available
so kindly dont suggest me this solution....

Hi Tayyab,

uninstall visual studio. clean & fix your registry using a registry clean tool till it fix all the registry errors. Then install visual studio again.
