Default Sending a message to a DataCombo Box control

The Professional V B 6 book provides a function to Find a String in a combo box using the API call SendMessage. This function "FindString" uses a constant CB_FindString for a Combo Box. Is it also possible to use this finction for a DataCombo control bound to a ADO Data Control? What should the code be?

Thanks,

Vikram Rajaram
