i didn't now what i did wrong on my Pc any time package my software,
 and try to install it, its gives the following error "The
file 'C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\msftqws.pdw\$(DLLSelfRegisterEx)'
could not be registered becuase it was not found"
i go to the system32, i ound the file there. i even added the dll file as a reference in my project. but still the same error.
please help...

Applying the last service pack would be the rigth way to start. Then open your setup.lst file created with your package (remember to open it with notepad ok.) and [u]find this</u> in the file:

$(DLLSelfRegisterEx)

then, change it to:

$(DLLSelfRegister)

and your setup will now work.

i programmed project using vb and access and i am using both ado and data control .....

when i create package and try to download in my laptop having vista i get the errors
1.msado2s.tlb
2.msftqws.pdw


for secound error i try to change $(DLLSelfRegisterEx) to $(DLLSelfRegister).
but still getting error .
plz send me the solution ASAP plzzzz
